27th march
Chamli and konika started working on assignment 2 and exchange of draft report was going through Pbwiki which was a great help for editing the documents
29th March

draft of assignment 2 was emailed to tracey to help starting thinking of presentation preperation and also to chedozei for revised prptotype

7th april
team received the feedback of assignment 1 in the workshop session. All three members came but not chedozei
Feedback was good team gained 77% in assignment 1

7th april till 13th april
all 4 members spilt the tasks again and started writing reports as per assignment 2 requirements
14 april
Konika , chamali attended the workshop and did PERT analysis and Critical path analysis during the workshop. Chamali find that very helpful for getting help in her part of assignment 2 report.
Overall that workshop was great help for understanding the PERT analysis and Critical path Analysis
And also explanation of Time Boxes by Jarak F. ( Workshop leader) helped for finalising the assignment 2 doc

14 april till 17 th April

teams communication and interaction was through pbwiki for documents editing and through emails and phone calls text messages

tracey finalised the presentation with help from Konika and Chamali
Chedozei prepared final prototype with help from Chamali
Konika and chamali fined all other tasks in assignment 2
18 april
assignment 2 ready for hand in chamali, tracey and konika handed and signed for Chedozei on the submission form because he was not present in the university
printing was shared between chamali and tracey
konika submitted electronic version both through blackboard and pbwiki also

29th April Workshop
Last workshop with Stuart Mark was helpful it gave whole details of what’s coming in exams and talk about practise questions and asked about feedback on report

Reading for Exam and preparing Assignment 3 and publishing on Blog as IPM Project Tracker

13 May

Lecture log in Weeks

Week 1 starts from 30th January till week 5 on 5th March
Lecture covered on topics of project managent, project life cycles, cost benefit analysis, software project management issues, STEP wise processes, Work Breakdowns, DSDM , Scheduling slides and notes on Channel Tunnel Project were all great help lectures delivered by Stuart Mark ( Module Leader), Dr. Wayne, Vic page.

Week Starting from 9th April till 16 April
Lecture covered on topics of Quality Specifications and testing, project Approaches, Why projects Fails, Preparations for final assignments and Project closure documents and presentation template helped for finalising the assignment 2

Lecture on Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW) and Virtual Teamwork, which really helped on writing the individual assignment 3.

Finally reference material given by Module leader and workshop leader helped gave great help for writing the assignment.

Jan 28
The group missed the 1st workshop. We had to meet the workshop leader individually to formed the team-1st members were Chamaly and Konika.
Feb 4th
Workshop leader discussed the assignment and introduced two other team members to the group. Tracy and Chadozi. The complete team of 4 was assembled.
Feb5th
K and c attempted to set up the PbWIKI accounts but were unable to as there were some errors. K and C decided to resolve these later.
Feb 6
The team was set to think about individual proposals and to bring in the proposals to the workshop.
Feb 7 till feb 11
The team worked on to understand the assignment requirements by reading through them and discussing the scope, desired effect and outcomes. The team brainstormed and evaluated each members understanding of the project to develop a common vision as to what the aims and objectives were.

Feb11

The team members presented their individual outline proposals. Each proposal was evaluated through discussions and analysis. We looked at the resource and time issues to rank each proposal. SMART ( specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and within time frame) rules were applied. Konika’s UK Thalassaemia Project seemed more feasible and fitted the smart objectives.

Konika took on board the recommendations made by the team and refined the outline proposal after further discussion and approval of the team. The outline proposal on ukts was accepted as final project. The team started working on its detail.

The project tasks were split into distinct areas and then allocated to each team member.

Stage 1

1) Defining the aim and objectives, user requirements and scope, strategy and anticipated outcomes ( Konika and Tracy)
2) Work break down and structure, project activities plan and team organisation ( chamali)
3) Prototype by chodezi

Feb 12-18th

Chamali passed on PID Templates and Research Documents to all team members.

Konika responded by sending out the aims and objective first. Konika also responded on other comments and requirements.

Chamali did not get a response from chadozi and tracy.

Feb 18th
Discussed progress report and refined/ clarified the main aims objectives again, subsequent to new developments and analysis.

Had a discussion on thalassaemia, the society (UKTS), the stake-holders and its operations

We carried out desk research using the Internet and a literature review on all research papers, reports and patient opinion on thalassaemia. Looked at reports on its effect, treatment and needs of patients and family.

Compared UKTS with the leading genetic disorders and diseases patent group (genetic interest group (GIG) ) and compared UKTS website users services with the services provided to patients and stake-holders using GIG and other chronic illness sites like diabetesUK.

Refined the SWOT analysis.

Feb18th- 25th
Chamali started working on her task of work breakdown and project activity plans.
Konika working on project scope and user requirements.

Chamali could not attend 25th Feb workshop and notified the team and re-arranged the meeting.

Both Chamali and Konika kept on sharing work with each other to bounce back ideas and keep an eye on Quality and other consistency of the work.

Chamali booked an appointment with jaraek to discuss some team issues that had developed.

Feb 25th

Chamali and konika could not attend the workshop. Tracy and Chadozi attended. Tracy did some SWOT analysis.

Konika and chamali met Jarek in the afternoon to discuss team issues and discussed the state of the Draft PID also.

Chamali requested chadozei and Tracy to meet in the afternoon for further project progress reporting but got no reply from them. Only konika and chamali then met jarak as per our prior appointment fixed with him.

Feb 26th to 4th mar

Chamali tried to contact both chadozi and tracy but cot no response.
Chadoi contacted the team later and reported that he had not started on anything for the prototype.
Konkia and Chamali finalised the PID expecting final prototype from chadozei. It had not been done. Chamali emailed to chadozei the final PID again to work on prototype.

4th mar
Tracy sunbmitted her version of aims and objectives and SWOT analysis to the team.. Konika and chamali reviewed and added her ideas into the final PID amendments.

Team attended workshop but chodezi was not there. He turned up later to discuss the prototype which was still not yet complete.

Chamali gave some suggestions to him on how to work with Frontpage.

5th mar till 7th march
Chodezi agreed to send draft prototype by 5th march to Chamali for the review. He decided to complete it by 6th March. He used Tracy to help.

Konika and Chamli decided to finalise the PID and also give feed-back to Chadozi and Tracy on their prototype submission.

6th March Finalised PID copies passed both to Tracy and Chadocy for their comments.

The team decided to submit final assignment by Thursday 6th March.
Chamali/tracey/chadozei printed the hard version submited on same day.
Konika submitted the electroni versions of both through PBWiki.

12 march last workshop before easter 2 weeks break

Last workshop day. konika chamali and tracey attended but chodezi did not and sent a message that he could not attend

All three did risk analysis, contingency plan and mitigating plan and also got feedback from other team members.

Team decided to read next assignment guidelines and will meet in reading week or communicate each other for further progress on assignment.
